IOSH Working Safely – Wind Energy – Your Passport to Safety
Posted on the 14th September 2015
DGA Safety Services are excited to unveil details of our unique bespoke one day IOSH passport accredited training course which focuses specifically on the Wind Industry. DGA, who are accredited IOSH & NEBOSH training centre and active members of RenewableUK, have designed this course specifically on the ever growing Wind Energy Sector of which wind farms are a key element.
The training course is aimed at new or existing employees of companies that are undertaking the construction and maintenance of wind farms both on and offshore. The content, in line with the IOSH syllabus, provides delegates with the knowledge of the main components of a wind farm, defines the most common hazards / risks associated with working on a wind farm and also offers the delegates a module on environmental management.
Forget 'chalk and talk'. DGA are turning traditional training on its head. We need to inspire delegates, to get them engaged with health and safety. If learning is enjoyable and stimulating, we stand a better chance of getting vital health and safety messages across. Adopting the latest isometric illustration and flash technology and not the standard powerpoint, the course content has been researched and designed by experts with excellent experience working within the wind industry, culminating in a course that teaches candidates the best working practises for staying safe while working on a wind farm construction site.
Course dates / venues and costs will be announced in the next few weeks so keep an eye on the DGA website, Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news relating to this course!Back to News
